Just because you can't afford a jaw-dropping Marchesa gown, doesn't mean you can't add a dose of the brand's luxe glamour into your style with the launch of the label's premiere fragrance, Parfume d’Extase. The scent comes in two sizes ($60–$85) as well as a rollerball ($25) and will be sold exclusively at Sephora in September.
"Eveningwear evokes an emotion, and this scent does the same thing," said Marchesa co-founder Georgina Chapman in WWD. It contains notes of iris, freesia and young violet leaves. "We didn’t want anything too sweet," added Marchesa's other co-founder, Keren Craig. "Georgina and I don’t like perfumes that can smell sort of sickly, so that was very important when we were going through the process."
The sparkly bottle looks like an objet d'art with a raw quartz crystal band with bow-like crystal accents. "We looked at our handbags and the signature crystals they have, and we really wanted to incorporate that element," noted Chapman.
