Lingerie was most definately the central point in the collection. Bra- tops in form of  underpinnings for satin skirtsuits, or of delicate slipdresses.
The rest of the collection, very chic, glam, couture-like, with cage hats on the top.

Carine's Magazine

CARINE ROITFELD - former French Vogueeditor - will start her own magazine next September. It is thought the publication will be printed four times annually, and - despite Roitfeld's French mother-tongue - will launch with an English edition.

"Initially I wanted it on the Internet, but it's a lot of investment, a lot of time, I do not know if it suits me," she told French newspaper L'Express. "I know that now you have to work with the Internet and the photos are of very good quality on the iPad, but things quickly go out of style on the Internet. We'll start with print: a September issue next fall in English."

Roitfeld is still deliberating on whether she should appear on the cover of each publication, according to reports by New York Magazine.

"I could call it Carine Roitfeld in the manner of Oprah Winfrey, and put myself on the cover every month like she does, but I'm not sure if this is what people want."

Balenciaga S/S 2011

Remarkable collection.
I really love the shape of the shorts and the crow-bars over the ovesize jackets, nicely done prints.
However, I dislike the final pieces with the oversize hats, very awkward, and not wearable.

From Lou Doillon to Charlotte Gainsbourg, Carine Roitfeld and Miranda Kerr - everyone gathered to see the newest Balenciaga collection designed by Nicolas Ghesquière.
Lou and Miranda sticked to a rockish ensamble wearing printed dresses paired with edgy leather jackets and ankle boots, while former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief  and French actress chose more chic,classy and feminine outfits.
The first one paired a black shirt with a printed pencil skirt and metal ankle-strap pumps, while Charlotte accessorised a plain grey shirt with a pale green mini skirt and colour-blocked boots.
