Victoria's Beckham New Line

The designer talks about her forthcoming line of feminine, '60s inspired dresses.
Victoria Beckham’s dresses have attracted wearers as varied as Kate Winslet, Michelle Obama and Olivia Palermo. With their precision fits, elegant shapes and luxe fabrics, the dresses are almost perfect—almost, in that the lofty price point prevents would-be Beckham-ites (ahem, us) from joining the sartorial team.
That’s set to change with the S/S ’12 launch of a diffusion line focused on more accessibly priced frocks. Called Victoria by Victoria Beckham, the line consists of ‘60s-feeling shift dresses that form a more relaxed counterpart to Beckham’s curve-encouraging main line. Scalloped edges, pussy bows and cartoonish prints promote the youthful air. Indeed, Beckham called the line ‘the most girly collection I’ve ever created’ in an interview with WWD.
‘These are the kind of dresses I’ve been searching for,’ she said. ‘The perfect little summer dress, something that was fun, something that was girly, something that was easy to wear, something that would take you from day through the night.’
Priced from £350 to £550, these won’t be a snip by anyone’s estimation, but they’ll stay within range of other contemporary lines. Beckham said she appreciates that the line will be accessible to new clients in other ways, too.
‘I’m opening these designs to women and girls of all different shapes and sizes, people who maybe want something less tight and clingy and structured. It also makes it more comfortable for during the day. You can wear them with a pair of flats or a pair of heels and they look great,’ she said.

Absolutely love the collection, very girly, fresh. I'm so loving the fact that Victoria is expanding her line with something new.
