KARL LAGERFELD took home the Gordon Parks Foundation Award last night, in recognition of his work as a designer, photographer and filmmaker. The foundation, which was set up in 2007 to preserve the legacy of photographer Gordon Parks, holds annual awards to celebrate creativity.
"I'm so proud, and so very thankful, but I'm never done," Lagerfeld told WWD. "I knew Gordon's photos before I knew Gordon, and they left such an impression on me as a student in München. That's what you want, as an artist. That's what I hope for."
The event, held in New York, was also attended by Iman and Chanel muses Anna Mouglalis and Freja Beha Erichsen.
